What is Art?This animation from Creature Comforts has been around for a few years but it is worth a revisit. Teachers; has anyone used this in their classroom? If so, what was the response?

I am currently student teaching at the high school level and used this creative comforts video in a Studio class, which is basically a senior-level independent study. Many of the students in this class are struggling with the age old question of what they want to make art about and I thought it would be a good way to start a discussion with them about what their role as artists is and what art means to the viewer. The discussion was not everything I hoped it would be, but I think it is always a good thing to really address the question of what art is, especially with students who are interested in pursuing art after high school Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
