I held off as long as possible.  Well, not really.  I could continue to say "no" to social media for my middle school aged daughter.  Right now she is pretty impressionable.  Believe it or not, she still thinks I know a thing or two.  So the time seems right to let her have a HIGHLY SUPERVISED account.  As her parent, I recognize that I need to teach her how to live within this world of social media.

I have decided it would be wiser to do it now than wait until she starts thinking her friends are smarter than me.

Here are the rules (all of which she agreed to).

I also enjoyed this iPhone contract written by Gregory's mom.  It is straight forward and pulls no punches when it comes to safety, manners, and other expectations.  Good work fellow mom!
