Angela V. Christopher

At FedEx Services, I lead a talented and smart team of instructional designers, developers, and facilitators to create educational experiences for sales professionals and sales leaders.

In my previous role, Head of Curriculum for the Art of Education,
I was fortunate to work with a team of fabulous instructors and content producers! I was engaged in strategic planning with executive leadership, designed curriculum, developed and taught online graduate courses. I also lead and coordinated video production for course development.

As Assistant Professor of Art Education at Memphis College of Art, I taught graduate courses and worked with teacher licensure, clinical practice and thesis students.
Previously, as the Teacher Effectiveness Coordinator for Tipton County Schools my primary responsibilities included coordinating, designing, and delivering professional development, new-teacher induction, and recruitment. I have also worked with beginning and pre-service teachers at the University of Memphis and I have taught visual arts in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.  As an adjunct professor, I taught graduate classes in technology at Memphis College of Art and the University of Memphis; online as well as face to face.  I cannot begin to describe how great it is to help other professionals explore readily available tools and resources for learning and professional growth.

In May of 2014, I earned an Ed.D. of Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Memphis. The title of my dissertation is: Common Core State Standards and technology integration: A study of teachers' experiences after professional development.

My professional interests include instructional support systems, technology integration, collaboration, and creativity. I also enjoy spending time with my family, caring for and riding my horses, photography, and scuba diving.
